What you need

cup red lentils

green chile

tsp turmeric powder
tsp red chili powder

tbsp ground coriander

tsp garam masala
tsp asafoetida

tbsp ghee butter

Instructions
1: Wash the lentils and soak in water for about 15-20 mins. 2: In a pressure cooker or Instant pot, add the soaked daal and 4 cups of water. 3: Add turmeric powder and a pinch of salt, then pressure cook for 2 minutes. 4: In a separate pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and asafoetida, followed by the chopped tomatoes. Cook until soft. 5: Add ground coriander, red chili powder, and garam masala. 6: Add the chopped green chiles and cook for 2-3 mins until blended. 7: Pour the cooked daal into the pan and mix well. 8: Add the chopped spinach leaves and stir to combine. Allow to wilt. 9: Adjust salt to taste. 10: Garnish with chopped cilantro and squeeze lemon juice. 11: Serve hot with steamed rice.View original recipe
