bay leaf
dried chili
tsp asafoetida

cup water

tsp salt
tsp red chili powder

tsp coriander powder

tsp sugar

tsp garam masala

tsp lime juice

Instructions
1: Wash & soak chana dal for 15 minutes. 2: Peel lauki and cut into small cubes. 3: In an instant pot or pressure cooker, add oil, mustard seeds, jeera, bay leaf, dried red chili, and hing. Let the seeds crackle. 4: Add lauki, dal, and water to the pot. 5: Add salt, red chili powder, dhana-jeera, sugar, and pressure cook for 3 whistles or 5 minutes in pressure cook mode. 6: Once done, add garam masala and lime juice.
